In recent years we have seen more and more new modern stadiums being built throughout the country. This has left the last remaining few baseball stadiums as parts of culture from the past. Fenway Park located off of 4 Yawkey Way has been in the baseball business since 1912 the longest in the Major Leagues. Fenway Park has held that title since 1990 when the Chicago White Sox left Comiskey Park which was then demolished the following year.
Every great stadium has something that makes it stand out from the rest. Fenway has multiple, first is the Green Monster out in left field. Players have been spraying balls off the wall in left for years. If you walk behind the monster you will find a wall that has been signed my numerous greats throughout the years. In 2003 seats where put atop the Monster making them one of the greatest seats in the world.
Next in the line we have Pesky’s Pole that lives 302 feet down in right field. The porch to right in Fenway Park is the smallest in baseball but not many arrive since the sharp right turn that occurs before the end of right field.
These are just some of the features of the Mecca of Major League parks.
